Vacancy for Programme Engineer (1), Technical Officer (1) - Caritas Switzerland [July 07, 2016]

Caritas Switzerland, a Swiss INGO related (referred to CACH hereafter), is supporting the people of  Nepal affected by the devastating earthquake of 25th April, 2015. Following the completion of distribution of CGI sheets to more than 4000 households, construction of 100 temporary learning centers and WASH Facilities for 40 public schools in Sindhupalchok district, CACH has continued to support the earthquake affected population in Sindhupalchok through permanent school reconstruction in partnership with HELVETAS Swiss Inter cooperation Nepal.

For this mission, Caritas Switzerland invites application for following positions:

1. Programme Engineer - 1 No.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building design and construction supervision.
• Knowledge of earthquake resilient building design and constructions.
• Experience on preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates.
• Fluent in English and Nepali
• Proficient in Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Email) and AutoCAD

Duty Station: Melamchi, Sindhupalchok with regular field visits

Duration Contract : One year with the possibility of extension

Length of contract: 2 years (with possibility of extension)

2. Technical Officer - 4 Nos.

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supervision of building construction .
• Fluent in English and Nepali
• Proficient in Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Email) and AutoCAD

Duty Station: Melamchi, Sindhupalchok

Duration Contract : One year with the possibility of extension

Length of contract: 2 years (with possibility of extension)
