School Construction Officer and Junior School Construction Officers - Finn Church Aid [June20,2016]


Finn Church Aid (FCA) is the largest Finnish development cooperation organization and the second largest provider of humanitarian aid and member of ACT Alliance. We operate in 20 countries, where the needs are most dire. We work with the poorest people, regardless of their religious beliefs, ethnic background or political convictions. The Finn Church Aid's Earthquake response program in Nepal is focused on education and we work in six affected districts. Qualified Nepali candidates are invited to apply for following roles in our current programs.

1. School Construction Officer (Sindhuli, Makwanpur or Gorkha)
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
- min. 4 years of relevant work experience
- min. 1 year of management experience
- fluent written and spoken English
- Good computer operation skills (MS office, AUTO CAD)
- experience with emergency operations, working with international NGOs and/or the government and Master's degree are considered as assets.

2. Junior School construction Officers (Sindhuli, Makwanpur or Gorkha)
Minimum Requirements:
- Intermediate degree in Civil Engineering.
- min. 1 years of relevant work experience in the field of construction.
- Good computer skills
- Good communication skills in written and oral English
- experience with emergency operations, working with international NGOs and/or the government and bachelor's degree are considered as assets.


Positions are initially between 5 and 7 months and all have possibility for extension and require travel within Nepal.
